Property Management & Development

EdgeAlliance helps its alliance members bring their expansion ideas to life. We work with organizations to expand their agencies, acquire land for new developments, manage contractors and construction teams, and secure necessary financing. Our organization has extensive experience in property management and development, as well as ongoing supportive housing. We have a proven track record of success.

EdgeAlliance’s philosophy of housing is simple: it should be safe, affordable, well-built, and attractive. The developments should offer both respite and permanent supportive housing options, and they should be located in areas where people are hurting. The housing should welcome a diverse population including children, teens, young adults, people in midlife, and senior citizens. The property area itself should contain lots of green spaces and garden space, and it should become a major part of the community.

All of the buildings we have helped develop are of the highest quality. They are aesthetically beautiful, environmentally conscious, sustainable, and universal design compliant.  They have enhanced the vitality of the North Lawndale neighborhood and are vital in transforming the area into a healthier, more economically stable community.

Once these properties are developed, EdgeAlliance ensures that the buildings are financially solvent, well maintained, and efficiently run. Because our organization is able to share costs across multiple properties, we provide our alliance members with significant cost savings and smoother operations. EdgeAlliance also helps members understand and comply with the policies of HUD and other funding organizations.

EdgeAlliance provides its members with ongoing supportive housing programs. We work closely with our members to help them educate their clients on the responsibilities of being a tenant. Our organization shows them how to help their clients become responsible tenants, as well as how to prepare them for more independent living opportunities as they grow stronger as individuals and families.
