Finance and DevelopmentEdgeAlliance takes its stewardship role very seriously. We have a responsibility to our donors, alliance members, clients, and our residents to raise and allocate funds in the most efficient manner possible, and to be accountable for our actions. We use one set of administrative competencies to serve all members and as a result, provide better economies of scale and can reduce the reliance on administrative funding for several different entities.FinanceEdgeAlliance was created to help nonprofits focus on their core competencies of housing and life progress services and not on finance and accounting. The EdgeAlliance finance staff is responsible for financial reporting, accounting, audit compliance, grant vouchering and reporting, taxation, monitoring of cash flow, asset management, and other related duties for all members of the alliance.DevelopmentEnsuring a steady stream of funding is critical to the success of a nonprofit organization. Organizations that worry whether they can pay bills and make payroll often are distracted from delivering the highest quality of services to their clients. The EdgeAlliance development staff raises funds for all its alliance members. Funding is solicited from various sources including individuals, corporations, foundations, as well as local, state, and federal government agencies, and rental fees. At least 80 cents of every dollar EdgeAlliance receives is spent on housing and life progress services. |
