Fat Saturday ball awards
As we approach the 2010 Fat Saturday Ball, we would like to acknowledge our most dynamic and influential friends and social service leaders. Vibrant presences in the community, these individuals have defined innovation, remolded hope and transformed lives. They are timeless, their achievements are transcendent, and we at EdgeAlliance work in the hope that our own efforts will have just much impact. This year's awards got to:
The Daniel R. Ruscitti Memorial Award
This award is given to those individuals or organizations that have been generous of their time, treasures and talents in assisting AIDSCare/EdgeAlliance in its mission and service to the poor and sick in Chicago. This year, we would like to honor Google with this award. Thank you, Google!
The James V. Flosi Founders Award
This award is given to individuals who provide extraordinary and exceptional service and support to men and women living on the edge of society in the Chicago metropolitan area. This year, we would like to honor Diane and Michael Hora with this award. Thank you Diane and Michael!
The Community Leadership Award
This award is given to an individual or organization which has shown support and heroic leadership in the service of people who are poor and homeless. This year, we would like to honor Janet Hasz, Executive Director of the Supportive Housing Providers Association, with this award. Thank you, Janet!
The Care With Dignity Award
This award is given to an individual or organization which is involved in the sensitive care and service of people who are homeless. The recipient of this award has gained the city-wide reputation of unceasing and untiring compassionate care for the people they serve and represent. This year, we would like to honor Mercy Housing Lakefront with this award. Thank you, Mercy Housing!
outstanding staff member award
This award is given to an employee for demonstration of exemplary leadership and compassionate quality as a member of the EdgeAlliance team. This year, we would like to honor Laurel Kuhn, Accounting/Audit Manager, with this award. Thank you, Laurel!

Live & Silent Auction
Keep an eye out in the coming weeks for a preview of some of our live and silent auction packages! Last year we gave away vacation packages to Europe and Hawaii, courtesy Orbitz. Our 2010 packages promise to be just as alluring!
Raffle
Thank you to everyone who purchased raffle tickets at the Fat Saturday Ball Preview Party at Crimson Lounge on Wednesday, November 11th! Raffle ticket sales for the evening raised $500.00 for EdgeAlliance. Keep an eye on the website for yet another exciting raffle!
