Volunteer Auxiliary Board Wish List	Auxiliary Board In November 2011, EdgeAlliance launched its first ever Auxiliary Board! EdgeAlliance is always welcoming new friends who support our mission and are interested in volunteering their time and talents! Our Auxiliary Board is made up of young professionals that are passionate about making a difference in their community and enjoy developing relationships with individuals, businesses and community organizations PURPOSE The Auxiliary Board raises awareness about the need for quality housing for individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS as well as for homeless Veterans. The Auxiliary Board will also help to create and organize activities that expand EdgeAlliance’s network of friends and supporters. MEETINGS The Auxiliary Board meets monthly. Additional meetings could be scheduled leading up to EdgeAlliance and Auxiliary Board events. ACTIVITIES The Auxiliary Board will participate in several annual events including: Dining Out for Life (Thursday, April 26^th, 2012) EdgeAlliance’s signature event in which more than 80 Chicago area restaurants donate a portion of their proceeds from one night to EdgeAlliance. BarAIDS, (Thursday, August 30^th, 2012) an annual event in which local bars give a portion of their proceeds from one night to EdgeAlliance. The Auxiliary Board is also asked to create new and exciting parties and activities that raise awareness of EdgeAlliance programs and services. SKILLS REQUIRED We are looking for people who are passionate about making a difference in their community. We seek individuals who enjoy developing their business skills and building relationships with individuals, businesses and community organizations. WANT MORE INFORMATION?
